Burpple

2013 — Present

I currently lead product design at Burpple. I design most parts of our product across all three platforms, develop front-end code for our web assets, and think of innovative ways to help our users share and discover new dining experiences.

During my first three months at Burpple, I worked on a new version of web platform. We launched this with success, and with the efforts of the content team, Burpple on the web attracts more than 300,000 people monthly. Next, we launched Burpple for businesses, a portal for business owners to connect with our users and promote new offerings straight into the pockets of potential customers.

I then took on design for iOS, which required new solutions to best showcase our content. This meant identifying and focusing on our strengths while working within the constraints of the current product. Our efforts resulted in the launch of 4.0 in March 2015, and we are continuously working on solutions to improve how users discover new dining experiences. Most recently, I began designing for Android as we transit to Google's new design guidelines, Material Design for Android. This update to our Android platform is due to launch shortly.

Occasionally, I am also involved in producing community and marketing assets, which include graphics for mailers, cover art for content distribution, window clingers for businesses, cards and T-shirts.
